About

Kym Brown is a Vancouver born Canadian singer-songwriter, musician, independent recording artist and teacher.

"With a distinct nod towards innovation rather than imitation,"  she has been described as having "mastered the art of sounding weirdly beautiful." Following the critical success of her debut album "Pygmalion" Brown's stealthy skill for pop melody achieved "Indie sensation" status by Canada's Chart Magazine, garnered nominations for Georgia Straight Awards in Vancouver, and received generous airplay from Canadian campus radio and CBC.

Subsequent recordings have received airplay globally from college and independent radio alike, including notable tastemaker Eddy Temple Morris in London (The remix, Xfm.) Her most recent full length album "Cursery Rhymes" was named "album of the week" by Tom Harrison (The Province, Vancouver Canada.) In live performance she has shared stages with Florence And The Machine, Dragonette, Ace Of Base, and Nickelback. Tracks are currently featured in film on Netflix USA and itunes. She has collaborated on various writing and studio projects, including work with The

Loose Cannons and Space Cowboy (Lady Gaga) in London.
