About

Kym Brown is a Vancouver-born Canadian singer-songwriter,

recording artist, and teacher.

Her musical work has earned national and international attention for its distinctive, unconventional sound. Her debut album Pygmalion achieved “Indie sensation” status from Chart Magazine, alongside award nominations in Vancouver and airplay across CBC and Canadian campus radio.

Subsequent releases have received global support from college and independent radio, including Eddy Temple-Morris in London.

Kym has performed live on national radio, television and onstage alongside artists including Florence and the Machine, Dragonette, Ace of Base, and Nickelback. She has also shared the stage with Ally Sheedy, who joined her on backing vocals following their work together on a television production.

Her music has been featured in film and on platforms such as Netflix, and her work has extended into film as a guitar double for Rachael Leigh Cook in the feature film Josie and the Pussycats (Universal Pictures).

She continues to write and collaborate selectively, with a current

focus on teaching and mentoring artists.
